Current Situation

Flooding in Rangitata Area
A local state of emergency has been declared in the Timaru District due to the flooding in the Rangitata area. All routes over the Rangitata River are closed in both directions. Evacuations have taken place for south and north Rangitata Huts and the Rangitata Island area. Refer to Timaru District Council for further information. www.timaru.govt.nz
