Review of tsunami evacuation zones for Ashburton, Timaru and Waimate

Summary

Tsunami evacuation zones are the areas that people should evacuate from, or stay out of, as a precaution after a long or strong earthquake or during an official tsunami warning. This report outlines Ashburton, Timaru and Waimate's tsunami hazard and how tsunami inundation modelling and other information was used to delineate new tsunami evacuation zones. The new evacuation zones are similar to the old evacuation zones that had been in place since 2012.
